Am I Lactose Intolerant?

Last year was my first year in college (last and first in the same sentence... is that right?), and by the end of the year, I started to have serious stomach issues.
That's me with stomach issues.  At first I thought it was stress because of school and studying and whatnot, so it was semi-okay . . . Well apart from the fact that I felt like I couldn't eat anything + I was never hungry.

But I thought it was pretty ridiculous when I had the same issues when I was vegetating on my couch during summer break.

Then I realized that my whole family has problems with lactose.
So I decided to cut out the lactose from my diet for a few days.  Sure enough, after a few days, I felt like I had a normal appetite again for the first time in months.

But soon after I found out my lactose problem, I was depressed because I realized ice cream has lactose in it.  I couldn't eat ice cream, my true love.

I have to be serious -- Ice cream is one of my most favorite foods in the entire world.  I don't discriminate against ice cream flavors.  I love all ice cream flavors equally, except for black licorice ice cream, which I think is the devil's ice cream.  But seriously... what were the manufacturer's thinking?  Who would ever want to eat black licorice ice cream? It's disgusting.  But, ah, that is for another post for another time.

Not being able to eat ice cream would be like cutting one of my fingers off.  So I tried to contain myself as long as possible without eating ice cream.

My self control lasted about 23 hours, 14 minutes, and 3 seconds.  Then I had to eat ice cream.

Surprisingly, I didn't have any problems.  I learned that I can have dairy, but in moderation.

So the question is... am I really lactose intolerant?

Oops . . . I haven't posted in a long time

It's been over a year since I posted.  I think this problem relates to this post here.  Anyways, what's been new since I last posted? Well, nothing really.
